Who we are

S E Barrett & Son Building Contractors ("we", "us") is a building contractor based in Poole,Dorset. You can contact us on 07949 274505 or atSebarrett.son@gmail.com.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us. That is:

• Your name, phone number, email address and postcode, if you fill in the quote form or email us.
• Whatever you tell us about your project, including any photographs or drawings you send.
• If you phone us, your number and whatever we note down about the enquiry.

Why we have it

To reply to your enquiry, visit the property, prepare a quote, and – if you go ahead – carry out and administer the work. That is the only reason.

The lawful basis is legitimate interest for responding to an enquiry you made, and contract where we go on to do work for you.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your details and we do not pass them to marketing companies. We may share the minimum necessary with:

• Our accredited electrical and plumbing partners, where their trade is part of your job.
• Building control, structural engineers, suppliers and other trades directly involved in your project.
• Our accountant, and HMRC, where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not go anywhere are deleted within about 12 months. Records relating to work we have actually carried out are kept for at least six years, because building work carries long liability periods and we may need them to help you later.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. It loads a web font from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request – the same as on most websites.

Update this section if you later add Google Analytics, a Meta pixel, a chat widget or an embedded map, since those do involve tracking and will need a cookie banner.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it – email Sebarrett.son@gmail.com and we will deal with it within a month. If you are not happy with how we handle it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
